The Affair

“One of my toughest novels to write so far, The Affair is about fifteen year old Scarlett’s first relationship. She describes it as a love affair, her mum, Nina calls it abuse.”

Description

A shocking story about a fifteen year-old girl and the man who took advantage of her.

“You might as well know from the start, I’m not going to tell on him and I don’t care how much trouble I get in. It’s not like it could get any worse than it already is. I can’t. Don’t ask me why, I just can’t.”

  1. I both loved and hated this book because it was as if you had taken the conversations between Scarlett and Rob directly from my own “affair”. It took me many years of counselling to see the truth of those conversations. Thank you so much for telling this painful story. It is one that so desperately needed telling.

    • Thank you Myrna, I’m sorry that you could relate so closely with Scarlett but glad that you’ve managed to deal with the past. With much love and best wishes, Amanda x

  2. I’m about 50 pages into the book and I don’t trust Scarlett’s teacher. There’s something very off with him and I’m desperate to see if my gut instinct about him is right. I’ll definitely be looking for your other books.
